Changing world

The population is always changing. By 2050, the Portuguese population will continue increasing against the trend in Europe that will register a decrease of 727.7 million to 653.3 million inhabitants.
However, population aging will grow over the next 40 years, recording about 32% of the total population residing in Portugal, while the youth population is expected to represent only about 13%.
Globally, the population will also continue to increase surpassing the 9 billion in 2050, with most of its growth record is in developing countries like India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, United States, Tanzania, China ...

Across the world

As the global population continues to grow...people will place greater and greater demands on the resources of our planet, including mineral and energy resources, open space, water, and plant and animal resources. So it is important to sensitize people about the demographic explosion and all its consequences because the world is unique.
