As the global population continues to grow...people will place greater and greater demands on the resources of our planet, including mineral and energy resources, open space, water, and plant and animal resources. So it is important to sensitize people about the demographic explosion and all its consequences because the world is unique.
Some say population growth is a reality. Others, see it as a myth. It all depends on the country/continent you refer to. Take Portugal, for instance... The birthrate is decreasing whereas life expectancy continues to grow. Thus, population is getting older and older and fewer and fewer children are being born... Where will this lead to?
